EXCLUSIVE LAKE TAHOE ride + lunch FOR SvTC MEMBERS

SATURDAY, JUNE 13, 2026, 9 AM

Join experienced triathlon coaches, Emma Briggs and Kyle Hamilton, for a guided ride around Lake Tahoe.

This is a ride that should be on every cyclist’s bucket list. It regularly features in lists of “Top 10 best rides in the US” for good reason: the scenery is stunning and the riding is fun. We will start the ride in Tahoe City and ride clockwise around Lake Tahoe via Kings Beach, Incline Village, South Lake Tahoe and Emerald Bay with a stop at Camp Richardson. We will return to Tahoe City along the west shore and refuel afterwards with a delicious lunch prepared by Head Chef Kyle.

This is a 72 mile ride with ~4200ft of climbing and will take 4-5 hours. Much of the route is flat and rolling but there are some significant climbs: up to Spooner Lake on the east side of the lake and around Emerald Bay on the west side.

We will give an overview of basic climbing, cornering and descending skills at the start of the ride for those of you with limited experience of this type of riding. The coaches will also provide feedback and advice on these skills during the ride if you want it.

Who is this for?

- If you’re a triathlete who is comfortable riding for at least three hours who would like to experience this iconic ride then this is for you.

- If you would like to improve your handling skills on corners and descents then you will benefit from this opportunity to climb and descend with instruction from experienced coaches.

- If you're interested in attending one of our camps then this will give you an opportunity to meet us, to get a taster of our camps and to sample some of Head Chef Kyle’s delicious food!

We will meet In Tahoe City. Exact details will be provided a few days before the ride. You can bring a TT bike or a road bike, either works well for this route. Your bike will also need appropriate gearing for the climbing. If you are unsure about this please contact us and we will help you to figure it out.

Please bring enough nutrition for 4-5 hours and enough hydration for at least 2-3 hours. We plan to have a mid-ride stop at Camp Richardson where you can buy drinks and snacks and refill bottles.

There will be a $10 fee to cover lunch afterwards.
