EXCLUSIVE Mt tamalpais ride + lunch FOR SvTC MEMBERS

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2025, 9AM

Join experienced triathlon coaches, Emma Briggs, Kyle Hamilton and Jamii North, for a guided ride on beautiful Mount Tamalpais.

We will start in San Anselmo and climb up to the top of Mount Tam via Alpine Dam and the Seven Sisters, stopping to regroup and take in the stunning watershed and coastal views along the way. We will return the same way and then refuel afterwards with a delicious lunch prepared by Head Chef Kyle.

This is a 38 mile ride with ~4000ft of climbing and will take 3-4 hours. There will also be options to turn around earlier if you decide you don’t want to go all the way to the top. The climbing is broken into 4 distinct segments: a 3 mile climb out of Fairfax on Fairfax-Bolinas Rd; a 2 mile climb from Alpine Dam up to the Seven Sisters; the rolling pitches of the Seven Sisters on the ridgeline; and the final 2.5 mile push to the East Peak. From the top you’ll enjoy stunning views of the San Francisco skyline across the Bay.

We will give an overview of basic climbing, cornering and descending skills at the start of the ride for those of you with limited experience of this type of riding. The coaches will also provide feedback and advice on these skills during the ride if you want it.

Who is this for?

- If you’re a triathlete who is comfortable riding for three hours who would like to experience this classic Bay Area ride then this is for you.

- If you would like to improve your handling skills on corners and descents then you will benefit from this opportunity to climb and descend on twisty mountain roads with instruction from experienced coaches.

- If you're interested in attending one of our 2026 camps then this will give you an opportunity to meet us, to get a taster of our camps and to sample some of Head Chef Kyle’s delicious food!

We will meet in San Anselmo, close to Memorial Park. Exact details will be provided a few days before the ride. You can bring a TT bike or a road bike but if you have both then we recommend a road bike for this route. Your bike will also need appropriate gearing for the climbing. If you are unsure about this please contact us and we will help you to figure it out.

Please bring enough nutrition for 3-4 hours and enough hydration for 2-3 hours. There is water (and bathrooms) at East Peak.

There will be a $10 fee to cover lunch afterwards.
